Vermont Police Canine Assoc. Recognizes VVSC with Award

Dr. Paul Howard and the staff of the Vermont Veterinary Surgical Center (VVSC) were recognized by the Vermont Police Canine Association (VPCA) for providing years of veterinary care to the police canines of Vermont. A plaque was presented to Dr. Howard and his staff by members of the VPCA. Dr. Howard also offers regular first aid classes to the canine handlers so they are better prepared for injuries their canine partners may suffer in the field. Dr. Howard and Kirk Walters of Shelburne VT were the creators of Lacey’s Fund, a source of money to pay the veterinary expenses of retired police dogs in Vermont.
